Job Description

About Us:
Magnolia Assisted Living is under new Management! Magnolia is committed to striving for a professional, supportive, and rewarding environment for our employees where our goal is to provide compassionate resident centered care in an assisted living home-like environment with a team-centered approach. We are looking for a certified CRMA, PSS or CNA to help support our team! We have day shift and night shift available. No matter what experience level you are at, we encourage you to apply. If you love working with the geriatric population and you enjoy helping seniors lead healthy lives, we encourage you to apply! We have openings for Day, Evening, and Overnight shifts. As a CRMA, PSS or CNA you will assist the elderly, or persons with disabilities with daily living activities in a residential care community. Duties may include keeping house (making beds, doing laundry) and assisting with meals. You will also monitor and report changes in health status and provide personal care such as bathing, toileting, dressing and grooming of clients. If you come on board as a CRMA, you will assist with medicaiton management.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Cares for residents by changing bed linens, washing laundry, cleaning, bathing, assisting with personal care, toileting and overall getting around. Provides help moving into and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs, and with dressing and grooming Performs housekeeping duties such as light cleaning and washing clothes Performs health care-related tasks under the direction of the administrator, registered nurses and physicians, in accordance with polices and procedures. Maintains records of residential care, conditions, progress, or problems to report and discusses observations with supervisor Serves meals to residents according to prescribed diets Ensures all aspects of safety and enforces safety rules and regulations Fills out and completes resident incident reports as needed Maintains confidentiality of all resident and employee information to assure that all rights are protected Report any incidents, accidents or suspected residential abuse to appropriate personnel Participate in all departmental meetings as required Administer medication for CRMAs only Other miscellaneous duties as needed or requested by supervisor
Required Skills/Abilities:
Must possess a strong service orientation, including active listening, critical thinking skills, and close monitoring of clients Basic understanding of medical terminology Comfortable in an environment in which clients cannot perform basic life duties Understanding of basic concepts of personal care, housekeeping and other care areas Must be able to read and write, in
English Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required One year of related experience preferred, but not required
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and lifting. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
