Description Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Departure Lounge Part-time, Day Shift 2, 12-hour shifts NO Weekends Required For a limited time MaineHealth is offering sign on bonuses for Clinical Nursing Assistants (CNA): 0-1 years of experience eligible for $2,000 (full time) 1+ years of experience eligible for $4,000 (full time) 0-1 years of experience eligible for $1,250 (part-time) 1+ years of experience eligible for $2,500 (part-time) Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time CNA position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible. Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.
Unit Bio:
The Departure Lounge CNA provides clinical oversight and patient‑centered discharge support for discharged patients, prioritizing comfort, dignity, and service excellence. This role plays a key part in hospital throughput by facilitating safe, timely, and thoughtful discharge experiences for patients and their families.
The Departure Lounge supports:
  • Inpatient discharges
  • Procedural discharges
  • Emergency Department discharges This role is vital in ensuring a positive final impression of care for patients and their families.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
Education:
Participates in continuing education relative to role as defined.
License/Certifications:
Must be certified as a Nursing Assistant by the State of Maine and be on the State of Maine Registry, having completed a six-week or equivalent course.
Experience:
CNA experience 0-6 months. On-the-job training provided.
