About This Job:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) on our 1st shift team, you play a vital role in providing compassionate and high-quality care to our residents. You directly impact their daily lives by assisting with essential activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being. Your dedication and empathy contribute to a positive and supportive environment for those we serve.Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides direct patient care , including bathing, dressing, feeding, and toileting. Monitors and records vital signs , such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse. Assists patients with mobility , including transferring to and from beds, chairs, and wheelchairs. Maintains a clean and safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols. Documents patient care accurately and timely in accordance with facility policies. Communicates effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members. Demonstrates empathy and provides emotional support to patients. Utilizes observation skills to identify and report changes in patient condition. Maintains accurate record keeping of patient information. Ensures patient safety by following established procedures and protocols. Works collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care.Required Qualifications:
Education:
Successful completion of a state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program.Experience:
Prior experience as a CNA preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.Knowledge/Skills:
Proficiency in providing patient care and assistance with activities of daily living. Knowledge of vital signs monitoring techniques and equipment. Understanding of infection control principles and practices. Ability to document patient care accurately and efficiently. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated empathy and compassion for patients. Strong observation skills and attention to detail. Proficient in record keeping and documentation. Current CPR and First Aid certification. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Ability to work effectively as part of a team .Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a long-term care or rehabilitation setting. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.Physical Requirements/Work Conditions:
Ability to lift, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Ability to bend, stoop, and reach. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Exposure to potential hazards, such as infectious diseases and bodily fluids.Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you must have completed a state-approved CNA program and possess knowledge of patient care, vital signs monitoring, and infection control. Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and a demonstrated ability to work as part of a team are essential. A current CPR, First Aid, and BLS certification is required. Prior experience as a CNA is preferred, and familiarity with electronic health records is a plus.
