Responsibilities Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and comfort. Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates, accurately documenting all patient information in electronic health records (EHR) systems. Support medical procedures by preparing patients and assisting healthcare professionals with tasks such as catheter care, phlebotomy, and basic life support during emergencies. Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, memory impairments, or behavioral health needs by implementing tailored approaches like memory care techniques. Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols using aseptic techniques and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Assist with patient mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and ensure safe transfer procedures in compliance with safety standards. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in various settings including acute care hospitals, long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, and outpatient clinics to deliver comprehensive patient service. Qualifications Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Demonstrated experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals (including ICU, trauma centers, emergency medicine), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care. Familiarity with EMR/EHR system Eldermark for accurate medical documentation. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and infection control practices essential for quality patient care. Experience with specialized procedures including medication administration, catheter care, phlebotomy, and use of medical equipment like Hoyer lifts. Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges across settings such as behavioral health or pediatric care. Strong communication skills coupled with a compassionate approach to caregiving in fast-paced environments like urgent care or hospital medicine.
