$19.00-$23.75 per hour •It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case and on several factors including relevant work experience, education, certification & licensure, and internal equity. Hourly pay is just one part of the compensation package for employees. Job Summary The Nursing Assistant (NA) serves as caregiver to the resident during the scheduled work period in assisted living. The NA provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned resident under the supervision of a charge nurse. Provides assistance with basic health care needs including daily living activities that may include, but are not limited to, bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing psychosocial support and other personal care to assigned resident. Completes tasks related to food preparation and dining, while creating a positive dining experience for the resident. Assists residents with meals and snacks, provides water and supplements as appropriate. NA may aid providers and nursing staff members with procedures and/or collect non-invasive body fluid specimens and gather vital signs. NA may administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse and within their scope of practice as defined by state regulations. NA documents the outcomes related to resident care, medication administration, behavior, activity, and dietary. NA must communicate changing conditions, medication follow-up and care related concerns/responses to the charge nurse. Depending upon location, NA may provide housekeeping and laundry services to assist residents with keeping living areas clean and operational. Provides assistance and documentation with wellness and recreational programs and encourages residents to participate. The NA has knowledge of and delivers age-appropriate care related to the physical and psychological needs of the resident as per care/service plan. NA may need to be knowledgeable of providing care to tenants with dementia. The NA is considered a member of the nursing team and is expected to know, and will be held accountable for, following infection prevention and control policies and Personal Protective Equipment use. The nursing department provides care 24 hours/day; any of those hours may be an expectation of employment specific to the needs of the department, possibly with varying shifts. These needs change dependent upon staffing availability and resident census. Will be required to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays. Specific shift assignments will be made based on nursing area and by location. Committee meeting attendance may be expected at times. Qualifications Minimum age of 18.
