Job Description

  • Job Summary:
  • Meadville Convalescent Home is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a medical setting, preferably in assisted living or senior care. The Nursing Assistant will work closely with nursing staff to provide high-quality care to patients in the long-term care facility. This role requires strong communication skills, a commitment to aseptic technique, and a basic understanding of medical terminology.
  • Responsibilities:
  • Assist with vital sign monitoring, including taking blood pressure, pulse, and temperature readings.
  • Support patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
  • Provide emotional support and maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients.
  • Document patient care and vital sign readings in medical records. Assist with patient transfers and ambulation as needed.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to aseptic technique and maintain a clean and organized environment.
  • Perform tasks and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Qualifications:
  • Current certification as a Nursing Assistant.
  • Prior experience working in a medical setting, preferably in assisted living or senior care.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to lift and move patients as needed.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks and responsibilities.
