Job Description
Overview:
Join our compassionate team as a Caregiver/CNA, where your dedication and skills will make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you serve. This vital role involves providing personalized care to residents in assisted living, nursing homes, group homes, or home and community settings. You will support individuals with diverse needs, including seniors, people with developmental disabilities, and those experiencing memory loss or hospice care. Your energy and empathy will help create a safe, comfortable environment where residents feel valued and cared for every day. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident's personal assistance devices Monitor and observe patient conditions regularly, noting changes in health status or behavior to ensure timely intervention Administer medications accurately according to care plans while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal service to promote proper nutrition and hydration Support patients during activities such as walking, exercising, or engaging in social programs to enhance their well-being Maintain cleanliness of resident rooms and common areas through routine cleaning tasks to uphold hygiene standards Document care activities meticulously in care plans and reports, ensuring clear communication among team members about each resident's progress and needs Requirements Valid CNA certification or relevant caregiving credentials; experience working as a caregiver in long-term care, nursing homes, assisted living, or home health environments preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques, vital signs measurement, medication administration, and emergency procedures such as CPR and First Aid Experience working with individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, autism spectrum disorder, or developmental disabilities is highly desirable Ability to lift heavy objects safely and assist residents with mobility using appropriate equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident's Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of patient information Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams, residents, and families Compassionate attitude with a commitment to providing respectful and person-centered careBenefits:
