In this vital role, you'll provide personalized assistance, monitor health status, and promote independence for residents across various care settings. Whether working in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care environments, your efforts will foster comfort, safety, and dignity for those you serve. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to develop your caregiving skills while contributing to a supportive and energetic team. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patient health by taking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates Support medication administration following proper protocols and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality Help with meal preparation and feeding to promote proper nutrition and hydration Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning duties and infection control practices Observe and report any changes in residents' physical or mental condition, including signs of dementia or Alzheimer's disease Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident's to ensure safe transfers and mobility assistance Assist with documentation of care plans, patient observations, and incident reports accurately and promptly Provide emotional support and companionship to enhance residents' well-being and social engagement Collaborate with nursing staff, social workers, and family members to deliver comprehensive care tailored to each individual's needs Requirements Valid certification as a CNA or PCA; additional certifications such as CPR, First Aid, or HIPAA compliance are highly desirable Experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospice care, or home health environments is preferred Familiarity with caring for individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, dementia, or memory care needs Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and recognizing early signs of health issues Knowledge of infection control practices and maintaining a clean environment through proper cleaning procedures Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills to work effectively with residents, families, and team members Join us in creating a positive impact through dedicated caregiving!
