Job Description

Job Summary Join our dedicated team as a Weekend PCA (Personal Care Assistant) or CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant), where your compassionate care and enthusiasm make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and individuals with disabilities. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide vital support during weekends, ensuring residents receive the highest quality of personal and medical care. You will be responsible for assisting with daily activities, supporting health monitoring, and creating a warm, safe environment for those in your care. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote independence and dignity Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability Support medication administration following proper protocols and documentation procedures using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems Provide companionship and social engagement to enhance residents' emotional well-being, including memory care and dementia support Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper nutrition while maintaining cleanliness standards in resident areas Operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely to assist with mobility needs and prevent injury Support residents with Alzheimer's care, behavioral management, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general Maintain a clean environment by performing light cleaning duties in resident rooms and common areas to uphold hygiene standards Document care activities accurately in EMR systems and communicate effectively with team members about resident needs Support residents' transition between activities or locations within the facility while ensuring safety at all times Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or long-term care environments preferred Experience providing personal care home or home & community care services is highly valued Familiarity with caring for residents with dementia or memory impairments such as Alzheimer's disease is advantageous Knowledge of vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and basic first aid procedures required Previous group home experience or working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities is beneficial Demonstrated ability to handle behavioral management situations compassionately and effectively Experience operating EMR systems for documentation purposes preferred Valid certification as a CNA or PCA is required; additional certifications such as CPR/First Aid are a plus Ability to drive or assist with transportation needs may be helpful but not mandatory Join us in creating a supportive environment where every resident feels valued!
