Responsibilities Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and comfort. Take and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates. Support clinical procedures such as catheter care, wound care, and basic life support under supervision. Document patient information clearly and promptly using Electronic Health Record. Help with patient transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts and assist with mobility aids to prevent falls or injuries. Observe and report changes in patient condition or behavior, especially in specialized areas like dementia care or behavioral health units. Maintain a clean and safe environment by following infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy. Requirements Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in accordance with state regulations. Experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or outpatient clinics. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for medical documentation. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and vital signs measurement techniques. Ability to perform tasks requiring physical stamina such as lifting patients with Hoyer lifts or assisting with transfers. Prior experience in specialized areas like ICU, emergency medicine, post-acute care, or hospice is highly desirable. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams caring for individuals with disabilities or complex medical needs.
