Employee discount programs Posting Summary The Assistant Dean for Curriculum and Evaluation reports to the Associate Dean for Advanced Nursing Practice in conjunction with other Rutgers School of Nursing Administrators. The Assistant Dean is directly responsible for implementation and evaluation of the DNP core courses, working with Specialty Directors on overall recruitment and retention plans, tracking and remediation of student progression, and post-graduation communications with students of the Advanced Nursing Practice Division, which includes MS/ MSN and DNP programs, as well as post-master's certificate options.
Administrative Leadership:
Works with faculty, SON Administration, and staff to implement strategic plans and assure ongoing quality improvement and integrity of the Advanced Nursing Practice Division programs and courses. Collaborates with Specialty Directors and the Admissions team on implementation of recruitment and retention strategies. Design and enact strategies for post-graduation communication with students to enhance the student experience, provide ongoing support, and develop future preceptors. Chairs meetings as delegated by the Associate Dean. Interacts with units across the school and/or the university. Assumes other responsibilities or duties as assigned. Submits reports as required and as requested.Academic Leadership:
In collaboration with faculty, SON Administration and staff, the Assistant Dean forAdvanced Nursing Practice:
Collaborates with administration, the SON Curriculum committee and Evaluation committee, faculty, students, and alumni to develop, implement and evaluate the Advanced Nursing Practice Division curricula, faculty, and program. Oversees formative and summative evaluations of all Advanced Nursing Practice Division students and graduates. Mentors, advises, and assists all Advanced Nursing Practice Division faculty members in their educational duties. Works with Specialty Directors and faculty on student concerns. Maintains current and extensive knowledge of the scientific and academic information covered by the curriculum. Regularly attends conferences and seminars designed to enhance and develop Advanced Nursing Practice Division programs. Adheres to the policies and procedures of the School, the University, academic partners, and clinical institutions as appropriate. Understands and adheres to Rutgers University's compliance standards as they appear in the Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct, and Conflict of Interest Policy. Fulfills the role of a faculty member in teaching, scholarship, and service. Assumes other responsibilities or duties as assigned.
