3:00 PM - 11:00 PM We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team. The CNA will play a vital role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care across various settings, including long-term care facilities, hospitals, assisted living communities, and home health environments. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring assistance with daily activities, medical needs, and emotional support. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in patient care, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Duties Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary. Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and temperature. Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems. Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care techniques and behavioral management. Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures such as catheter care and wound dressing changes to prevent infection. Assist with patient transfers and positioning using appropriate equipment to ensure safety and comfort. Document patient observations and care provided in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in acute care, ICU, emergency medicine, or behavioral health settings to deliver comprehensive patient care. Support patients' emotional well-being through compassionate communication and attentive listening. Follow infection control protocols diligently when working with infectious diseases or in sterile environments like operating rooms. Qualifications Valid CNA certification/license required; additional certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS) are preferred. Prior experience working in diverse healthcare settings including hospitals (Level I Trauma Center experience preferred), nursing homes, hospice care, or outpatient clinics. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical records management. Experience with specialized care areas such as
ICU, PICU
(Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), or sub-acute care is advantageous. Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and medication administration procedures. Ability to work effectively with individuals of all ages and backgrounds, including those with disabilities or developmental challenges. Strong interpersonal skills coupled with the ability to follow detailed instructions precisely. Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
