The Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) Registry and Training Program Coordinator will: Review, approve and monitor the Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) training programs statewide in nursing facilities, colleges and independently owned CNA Training Programs in accordance with required Federal mandates for CNA Training and Competency. How does it get done? The CNA Registry and Training Program Coordinator is responsible for: Reviewing, approving and monitoring the Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) training programs statewide in nursing facilities, colleges and independently owned CNA Training Programs in accordance with required Federal mandates for CNA Training and Competency; Performing desk audits and reviews of program materials as well as a site visit review and observation of the program; Providing technical assistance to the programs and provides clarification and guidance for state and federal regulations regarding the Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program (NATCEP); Providing oversight of the review out of state applications to determine eligibility for reciprocity and certification renewal and communicates the necessary steps to complete the certification process with customers. Who are the customers? This work is vital to ensuring that New Mexico has a qualified work force of Certified Nurse Aides to work in New Mexico health facilities. Ideal Candidate This work is vital to ensuring that New Mexico has a qualified work force of Certified Nurse Aides to work in New Mexico health facilities. Minimum Qualification Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of study from an accredited college or university and four (4) years of professional level experience with a tactical impact directly related to the purpose of the position defined by the agency at the time of recruitment. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling eight (8) years may substitute for the required education and experience. Employment Requirements Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license. Must obtain a Defensive Driving Certificate. Working Conditions Work is performed in an office setting, utilizing a computer, and telecommunications equipment.
