Residential Aide / CNA Better Thoughts Transitional Live Henderson, NV Job Details Part-time | Full-time $16.50 - $18.50 an hour 17 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Paid time off Qualifications Patient resuscitation CPR Certification Patients with traumatic brain injuries Working with individuals with disabilities BLS Certification CPR High school diploma or GED Direct support Emergency response procedures Disability services Teaching First aid and CPR Full Job Description Traumatic Brain Injury or Acquired Brain Injury focused in a residential setting; Based on plan of care, Habilitation aide will be working with and assisting clients with ADL's & IDL's. Habilitation aides must have 1. A high school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) @ Minimum 2. Some post-secondary educational experience is desired 3. A minimum of two positive, verifiable employment experiences 4. Three years of related experience is desired 5. Job experience that demonstrates the ability to teach, work independent of constant supervision and demonstrate regard and respect for recipients and co-workers 6. Verbal and written communication skills 7. The ability to handle many details at the same time 8. The ability to follow through with designated tasks 9. Knowledge of the philosophy and principles of independent living for people with disabilities Supporting Qualifications and requirements include: 10. Dependability, able to work with minimal supervision 11. Demonstrates problem solving ability 12. The ability to perform the functional tasks of the job 13. The ability to identify emergency situations and act accordingly including Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification, which may be obtained outside the agency. 14. TB 2-step, CPR, and a pre-employment physical required 15. Must be able to pass a drug test and a criminal background check 16. Must be able to legally work in the United States and have a State ID and Social Security Card.
