Nursing Assistant Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including long-term care facilities, outpatient clinics, and inpatient units. The Nursing Assistant will assist with daily living activities, ensure patient comfort, and maintain accurate medical records while adhering to aseptic techniques and safety protocols. Duties Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating. Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure. Provide medication administration under the supervision of nursing staff. Maintain cleanliness and organization in patient areas to promote a safe environment. Support patients in mobility and physical therapy exercises as directed. Document patient care activities accurately in medical records using systems such as Epic. Communicate effectively with healthcare team members regarding patient conditions and needs. Assist in hospice care by providing comfort and support to patients and their families during end-of-life care. Qualifications Previous experience in long-term care or nursing home settings is preferred. Familiarity with outpatient clinic operations is an advantage. Knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control practices is essential. Ability to administer medications safely and effectively under supervision. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team. Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
