Hours Position Overview:
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistants ( CNAs ) to provide direct resident care in a Long-Term Care setting. The ideal candidate will have experience working with elderly residents and individuals requiring ongoing skilled nursing care, including residents with Alzheimer's disease and dementia.
Primary Responsibilities:
Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding Provide safe transfers, repositioning, and mobility assistance Monitor and document resident conditions, vital signs, and changes in status Assist nursing staff with patient care activities and report concerns promptly Maintain accurate documentation according to facility policies and regulations Support residents with meal service and hydration needs Provide companionship and emotional support to residents and families Assist with infection prevention and control procedures Ensure resident rooms and common areas remain clean, organized, and safe Follow facility safety protocols and resident rights standards Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and team communication Respond promptly and professionally to resident requests and call lights
Required Qualifications:
Current New York State CNA Certification/License in good standing Proof of active New York CNA certification required at submission Current BLS Certification Ability to work effectively with Alzheimer's and Dementia patient populations Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills Ability to complete all facility compliance requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum one (1) year of Long-Term Care (LTC) experience Experience in rehabilitation, medical-surgical, hospital, or related healthcare settings Experience working in skilled nursing facilities or memory care units Familiarity with PointClickCare (PCC) documentation system Experience caring for geriatric and cognitively impaired residents
