This vital role combines nursing expertise, leadership, and operational management to ensure residents receive personalized, high-quality care in a safe and supportive environment. The Wellness Director will oversee clinical services, supervise nursing staff, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote residents' health, well-being, and independence. Duties Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of resident care plans tailored to individual needs, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA and Medicare guidelines. Supervise nursing staff, including nurse management and shift supervisors, providing mentorship, performance evaluations, and ongoing training to uphold excellence in care delivery. Oversee documentation review and medical records management using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance. Coordinate interdisciplinary team efforts involving home health, hospice care, acute care providers, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive resident support. Monitor clinical operations related to MDS (Minimum Data Set) assessments, care plans development, and documentation review to optimize resident outcomes and regulatory adherence. Manage shift schedules effectively to ensure adequate staffing levels while maintaining high standards of nursing administration and resident safety. Ensure staff adherence to all safety protocols related to physiology knowledge, anatomy understanding, medical terminology, and documentation standards aligned with HIPAA regulations. Skills Extensive knowledge of assisted living operations combined with nursing home experience and familiarity with home health, hospice care, and acute care settings. Proven leadership skills with supervising experience in nursing management or nursing administration roles. Strong understanding of EMR/EHR systems for efficient documentation review and medical records management. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with residents' families, healthcare providers, and team members effectively. Ability to interpret medical terminology accurately while applying physiology and anatomy knowledge in clinical decision-making. Competency in shift management, staff supervision, and implementing care plans that meet regulatory standards such as Medicare requirements.
