This vital role offers an exciting opportunity to provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a supportive environment. You will play a key part in enhancing the quality of life for our residents and clients by delivering personalized assistance with daily activities, health monitoring, and emotional support. If you're passionate about making a difference and eager to grow your caregiving skills, this position is perfect for you! Duties Assist residents and clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote independence and dignity. Monitor patient health by taking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature; observe and report any changes or concerns promptly. Support medication administration following proper procedures and documentation protocols in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's, or other memory-related conditions, including memory care techniques and safety measures. Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts, catheters, and other assistive devices to ensure safe mobility and comfort. Document patient care activities accurately using Electronic Health Record (EHR) or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems; maintain detailed medical records and reports. Assist with light housekeeping tasks like cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and ensuring a safe, sanitary environment for residents and clients. Qualifications Valid CNA certification or HHA certification required; experience in assisted living or long-term care preferred. Prior experience working in nursing homes, hospice care, or home health settings is highly desirable. Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, catheter care, and dementia/memory care best practices. Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities of any kind. CPR certification required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are a plus. Strong patient observation skills with the ability to recognize changes in condition or behavior promptly.
