Occasional opportunities for special services and church events as needed Position Summary Belmont Church is seeking a caring and dependable Nursery Attendant to provide a safe, welcoming, and nurturing environment for young children during Sunday morning worship and ministry activities. This role helps families fully participate in the life of the church by ensuring their children receive attentive care in a Christ-centered atmosphere. Responsibilities Provide loving, age-appropriate care for infants and toddlers during Sunday morning services Create a safe, clean, and welcoming nursery environment Engage children through play, stories, simple activities, and positive interaction Welcome families and help children feel comfortable and cared for Follow church safety procedures, including check-in/check-out processes Communicate with parents/guardians as needed Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate reliability and professionalism Assist with childcare during occasional church events or special services as availability allows Qualifications A genuine love for children and families Dependable, patient, and caring personality Prior childcare experience preferred but not required Ability to work cooperatively with church staff and volunteers Must successfully complete required background checks and child safety training Supportive of the mission and values of Belmont Church About the Role This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to make a meaningful impact with a small weekly commitment. By caring for our youngest children, our Nursery Attendant helps create a welcoming place where families can grow in faith together.
