Hennis Care Centre, a leading Skilled Nursing Facility in Dover, Ohio, offers an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Hospitality Aide with a clear pathway to becoming a STNA! As a Hospitality Aide, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, person-centered care to our residents, assisting them with their daily living activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being. This is an excellent entry-level position that provides invaluable hands-on experience in a supportive and collaborative environment. Furthermore, for dedicated and successful Hospitality Aides, Hennis Care Centre is proud to offer financial support to cover the cost of your Nurse Assistant certification class!
Responsibilities:
Assist residents with daily needs, answer call-lights. Provide assistance with passing meal trays and ice water. Fold and organize residents' laundry Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents. Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a positive and respectful atmosphere. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other members of the healthcare team. Adhere to all facility policies and procedures, including safety and infection control guidelines. Participate in ongoing training and development programs. Demonstrate a commitment to learning and growth, with the potential to advance to a State Tested Nurse Assistant (STNA) role.
Qualifications:
A strong desire to pursue a career as a State Tested Nurse Assistant. Previous experience working as a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) or in a similar healthcare setting is a plus. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
Note:
The classes take place in Canton, you must have reliable transportation to get to class.
