CNA/CHHA

- Supportive Role for Military Veteran Job Description We are seeking a patient, resilient, and dependable caregiver to provide dedicated in-home support for a military veteran. The ideal candidate is someone who brings a calm, grounded presence, possesses thick skin, and understands how to navigate the complex moods and unique needs of a veteran. This is a casual, animal-friendly home environment. We are looking for someone who can respect the client's lifestyle choices while focusing on providing excellent daily care and companionship.

Task/duties in the home:

Provide daily caregiving support, ensuring the client's comfort, safety, and well-being. Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviors or tense moods with patience and professionalism. Maintain a calm, structured, and supportive environment for the client. Assist with basic daily living tasks (e.g., companionship, meal prep, light housekeeping).

Experience required:

Must be comfortable and experienced working with a quadriplegic veteran diagnosed with ALS. Must have experience with complex moods, high emotional intelligence, strong boundaries, and a patient, non-reactive demeanor are essential. The Aide must be completely comfortable working in an environment where tobacco and THC are regularly smoked. Must be completely comfortable working in a home with pets, specifically cats and birds. Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a commitment to showing up consistently. Compensation & Schedule

Pay Rate:

$18.00 weekdays and $18.50 weekends

Schedule:

Thursday 6 pm-10:30 pm, Friday 8 pm-11 pm, Saturday 6 pm-10 pm, Sunday 7 am- 1 pm = 17 hrs. More hours with another client are available if needed.
