Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality patient care across various settings, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, and home care environments. Your energy and enthusiasm will help create a positive experience for patients and residents while supporting their physical, emotional, and social well-being. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring specialized care, from geriatrics and memory care to acute and emergency medical services. Duties Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts or transfer belts. Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature, ensuring timely communication of any abnormalities. Support medication administration under supervision, adhering strictly to HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards. Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, ensuring a safe and comforting environment through memory care techniques. Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care, phlebotomy preparation, and aseptic techniques in accordance with clinical protocols. Operate Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner to document patient information comprehensively and accurately. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in various settings such as ICU, emergency medicine, behavioral health units, or post-acute care environments to deliver seamless patient service. Support infection control practices in infectious disease or Level I Trauma Center settings to maintain a sterile environment. Engage with patients across diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges in outpatient or inpatient contexts. Qualifications Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) from an accredited program. Experience working in critical care environments such as ICU, Level II trauma centers, or emergency departments is highly desirable. Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (BLS). Prior experience with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner or eClinicalWorks preferred. Familiarity with specialized care areas including hospice care, behavioral health units, or sub-acute settings is advantageous. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks involving patient lifting using equipment like Hoyer lifts and transfer devices. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and backgrounds as well as healthcare team members.
