Day Shift Pay Range:

  • Observation patients are short-stay, giving you meaningful, focused interactions—not endless turnover with no connection Stronger team support
  • Work closely with RNs and a collaborative care team that values your voice and input See the impact of your work
  • Help stabilize, comfort, and prepare patients for next steps—often within the same shift A calmer pace (with purpose)
  • Still dynamic, but more controlled than high-volume inpatient units Grow your clinical confidence
  • Exposure to a wide range of conditions while staying grounded in patient-centered care What you'll do (and why it matters) You'll play a key role in helping patients feel safe, seen, and cared for during short but important stays.
Support patients with daily care like bathing, grooming, eating, and mobility Take and track vital signs, intake/output, and changes in condition Help patients move safely, bed transfers, walking, and repositioning Communicate what you observe to nurses so care stays proactive, not reactive Assist with treatments and basic procedures as directed by the care team Keep patient rooms stocked, clean, and ready for care Document care clearly so the whole team stays aligned Step in to support unit flow, answering phones, helping with coordination when needed

Patients feel less anxious because you take time to explain and support them Early changes are caught quickly because you're attentive and observant Care transitions go smoothly because of your clear communication and documentation Mobility improves safely because you encourage and assist movement Patients leave feeling respected and cared for , even during short stays Nice to have (but not required) We know life doesn't revolve around work. If you have acute care experience, that's great, but if you're newer, we'll support your learning. What you bring Certified Nursing Assistant license in Oregon (required) Basic Life Support (BLS) obtained by either American Red Cross or American Heart Association (required) Completion of an approved CNA program Ability to connect with patients and work as part of a team Comfort in a fast-moving environment where priorities can shift Why PeaceHealth + Springfield?
