Job Description

Location:
Hood River, Oregon Become a CNA in as little as 5 weeks! Long-Term CareWorks offers a no-cost, sponsored nursing assistant (NA) training program designed to support your path to CNA licensure and employment in long-term care. In partnership with EMT Associates , this accelerated program provides hands-on training, mentorship, financial support (Milestone Rewards), and wraparound services to help you on your journey to becoming a healthcare professional. Milestone Rewards are money you receive for participating in the program in addition to onboarding and support services. Milestone Rewards are received at three
Milestones:
  • after classroom and lab learning
  • after clinical rotation
  • upon hire into a long-term care partner facility CNA Duties and Responsibilities Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) play a critical role in long-term care settings, helping residents with daily activities like getting exercise, eating, and getting dressed.
CNAs promote dignity, connection, and independence while building meaningful, high-demand careers. About the Program This is a sponsored training program, which means you'll receive state-required instruction and personalized support at no cost to you. Our program is a Nursing Assistant Training Program that prepares students for CNA certification through the Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) and covers fees associated with OSBN testing. Weeks of Training:
In-person instruction and hands-on clinicals provided by EMT Associates.
    Earn While You Learn:
    Receive monetary stipend throughout the program.
      Career Coaching:
      Our career coaches are experienced CNAs who can help you create your resume, build your interview skills, and help you navigate the professional long-term care environment.
        Job Search Support:
        Our team is here to support your journey from classroom to career. While we cannot guarantee job placement, we partner closely with a network of union-represented long-term care facilities across the region to help you secure employment upon licensure. Wraparound Supports We offer comprehensive support so you can succeed in your training and beyond:
        • EMT Associates tuition covered by Long-Term CareWorks
        • Paid CNA exam and fingerprinting fees
        • CPR certification
        • Shoe stipend for slip-resistant shoes
        • Scrubs reimbursement
        • Childcare cost reimbursement available for licensed childcare providers
        • Transportation support Once you receive your CNA license and are working at a participating facility, you have access to quality healthcare through the Essential Worker Healthcare Trust.

        Clinicals:
        August 17-25 | 6:30am-3:15pm

        August 4th | 9am-1pm
        Class Training & Labs:
        August 10-31 | 4:45-9:45pm
        Clinicals:
        September 1-8 (excluding Labor Day) | 6:30am-5:15pm
        Professional Development:
        September 9-15 | 9am-5pm
        Testing and Skills Review:
        TBD Class schedules are set by Long-Term CareWorks and EMT Associates. You will receive a full schedule upon enrollment.
