Advanced Practice Providers Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and organized Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our dedicated Gastroenterology (GI) practice. The candidate will play an integral role in patient care and daily office operations, working closely with our physicians and advanced practice providers to deliver exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

Room Patients:

Prepare patients for examination by gathering their medical history, taking vital signs, and setting up the exam room.

Patient Communication:

Answer phones, respond to patient questions, and provide follow-up instructions as directed by providers.

Triage:

Handle patient triage by assessing the urgency of their symptoms and determining appropriate action.

Documentation:

Accurately document patient encounters, vital signs, and other relevant information in electronic medical records (EMR).

Authorization Completion:

Assist with obtaining pre-authorizations for procedures, medications, and treatments as needed.

Assist Providers:

Provide clinical support to physicians and advanced practice providers during patient examinations and procedures.

Additional Duties:

Complete other administrative and clinical tasks as assigned to support practice operations.

Qualifications:

Education:

Certification as a Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

Experience:

Experience in a GI or medical practice preferred, but not required.

Skills:

o Strong communication and interpersonal skills. o Proficiency in medical terminology and EMR systems. o Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. o Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. o Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
