Job Description

Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team for daytime shifts from 10:30 PM- 6:30AM. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient care, excellent communication skills, and experience working in diverse clinical settings. This role offers an opportunity for CNA's to provide vital support to patients across various care environments, including long-term care, acute care, and specialized units such as memory and dementia care. CNA candidates with experience in PCC, medical documentation, and a solid understanding of medical terminology are highly valued. Duties Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor and record vital signs accurately and report any significant changes to nursing staff Provide medication assistance under supervision, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to HIPAA regulations Support patient safety through infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and maintaining a clean environment Assist with patient transfers, positioning, and mobility exercises tailored to individual needs Document patient care activities thoroughly in EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in settings including hospitals (Level I Trauma Center, ICU, PICU), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or outpatient clinics Engage with patients experiencing various conditions such as dementia, Alzheimer's disease, behavioral health issues, or developmental disabilities Participate in training related to medical-surgical procedures, emergency response (Basic Life Support), and specialized care like hospice or infectious disease management Experience Prior experience in healthcare settings such as hospitals (including trauma centers or ICU), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home & community care preferred Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and patient safety protocols Experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, patients with disabilities or behavioral health needs Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications in phlebotomy or medication administration are a plus Demonstrated ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and provide compassionate patient-centered care This position as a CNA is essential for delivering high-quality patient support across various healthcare environments.
