Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assisting with personal care such as bathing, oral hygiene, nail care, foot care, skin care, and pressure relief Helping patients with feeding, dressing, transferring, positioning, and ambulation Accurately taking and recording vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure) Notifying licensed staff when patients report pain or changes in condition Maintaining proper body alignment and safe transfer techniques Communicating observations clearly to the supervising RN Documenting patient care according to professional standards Collaborating with the Interdisciplinary Group Understanding and supporting hospice philosophy, including issues of death and dying Preserving the dignity, comfort, and respect of patients at all times
About You:
Must hold a CNA certification or have similar experience . Previous hospice experience preferred. Meets the training requirements of the State. Qualified candidates must have one (1) year direct patient care experience in acute or sub-acute care. Previous hospice experience is highly preferred. Superior customer service skills. Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given. Travel is required throughout the workday. Valid state driver's license and reliable automobile, current automobile insurance and be willing to operate personal car necessitated by nature of job. Provides copy upon renewal of driver's license and automobile insurance. The position requires standing, sitting, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, reaching, and climbing throughout the majority of the day. The employee must frequently lift or move objects and patients weighing over 50 pounds. Routinely transfer patient weight 100lb or greater. $19.00 - $21.50 per hour
