5x8 days/eves/nights Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality patient care across various settings, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, and home care environments. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily activities, monitoring patient health, and supporting medical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in patient-centered care, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and have experience working with diverse populations, including individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia, or requiring specialized memory care. Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary. Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates; document findings accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems. Support medication administration under supervision in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards. Provide specialized care for patients with conditions such as Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or other memory impairments. Assist healthcare professionals during procedures requiring aseptic technique and infection control measures. Support patients in rehabilitation or post-acute care settings by helping with mobility exercises and ensuring safety. Maintain a clean and safe environment by following infection prevention protocols and proper handling of medical supplies. Communicate effectively with patients and their families to address concerns and provide emotional support. Document patient interactions thoroughly within EMR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks. Participate in ongoing training related to emergency medicine, ICU procedures, or trauma center protocols to enhance clinical skills. Qualifications Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) from an accredited program. Prior experience in critical care environments such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers is preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (BLS). Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in behavioral health settings is advantageous. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, or similar platforms. Ability to perform phlebotomy procedures and catheter care when required. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to patient confidentiality. Excellent communication skills coupled with compassionate caregiving abilities. Flexibility to work in various settings such as inpatient units, outpatient clinics, or home health environments.
