No housing available. No 12's or 16's, 5x8 ONLY. Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Travel Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team. The Travel CNA will provide essential patient care across various healthcare settings, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, and outpatient clinics. This role offers the opportunity to work in diverse environments, delivering compassionate support to patients with a wide range of medical conditions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in patient care, excellent communication skills, and the flexibility to adapt to different clinical settings while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility Monitor and record vital signs accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems Support medical staff with procedures including catheter care, phlebotomy, and aseptic techniques Provide specialized care for patients with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or memory impairments Assist with patient transfers using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and ensure proper body mechanics Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure confidentiality of patient information Document patient interactions thoroughly in medical records and communicate effectively with healthcare teams Support infection control protocols and maintain a sterile environment during procedures Adapt quickly to different clinical environments including ICU, emergency medicine, pediatrics, or behavioral health units Demonstrate knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to patient care across age groups Skills Proven experience as a CNA in diverse healthcare settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, or home care Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs Knowledge of medical terminology and documentation standards Ability to perform basic life support (BLS) and emergency response procedures confidently Competence in medication administration under supervision when required Strong interpersonal skills to provide compassionate patient service across age groups including pediatrics and geriatrics Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently in fast-paced environments Working knowledge of infection control practices including aseptic techniques and infectious disease care Experience supporting post-acute care transitions or outpatient clinics is advantageous This position is an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals eager to expand their clinical experience while making a meaningful difference in patients' lives.
