Sentara Health is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
Position Status:
Full Time
  • Day Shift Position Location:
    Sentara PACE
  • Portsmouth, VA
  • Requires travel within Hampton Roads.
Mileage reimbursement is paid for all miles driven between patient visits. Must have personal vehicle and active driver's license.
Pay Range:
$16.92
  • $25 We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits.
Overview Performs basic and routine patient care, such as personal hygiene, toileting, meal preparation and feeding, checks vital signs, intake/output, ambulation and assists patient with transfer from/to bed, toilet and other areas of the PACE center or in the home. New hires with existing state CNA must be in good standing. American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire. Education Graduate of a state approved Nursing Assistant program/Trade School program (Required) Certification/Licensure CNA active in Virginia (required) BLS within 90 days (required) Experience Patient care, support independent and dependent activities of daily living Vital signs, mobility and ambulation Phlebotomy, point of care testing, EKG testing, peripheral IV removal, specimen collection, and foley catheter insertion and removal Comply with patient safety practices under the direction of the professional RN nurse Observe patients' physical, mental, and emotional conditions and document in a timely and accurate manner
