CNA Staffing Coordinator Forest Ridge Nursing & Rehabilitation Reports To:
Director of Nursing (DON) Role Overview At Forest Ridge, we believe that great care starts with great people. We are seeking a multitasking pro to serve as our CNA Staffing Coordinator . This is a hybrid role designed for a certified professional who excels at organization but isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves and provide direct resident care. You will be managing the schedule, maintaining medical records, ensuring our supplies are stocked, and stepping in as a CNA whenever the team needs an extra hand. Key Responsibilities Staffing & Scheduling Create and maintain the monthly CNA schedule to ensure 24/7 coverage. Manage call-outs and find immediate replacements to maintain staffing ratios. Track attendance, overtime, and time-off requests for the CNA team. Work closely with the DON to identify hiring needs and assist with onboarding new clinical staff.
Medical Records & Supplies Medical Records:
Maintain accurate resident charts, audit records for compliance, and manage the secure filing of clinical documentation.
Central Supply:
Inventory and order nursing supplies (OTC meds, PPE, incontinence briefs, wound care, etc.) while staying within the facility budget. Ensure supply rooms are organized and accessible for the floor staff. Direct Resident Care (Floor Coverage)
Shift Coverage:
Act as the primary "backup" for the floor. If a shift cannot be filled through scheduling, you will cover the slot as a CNA.
Daily Support:
Assist with resident showers, activities of daily living (ADLs), and transfers during peak times or when the floor is short-staffed. Maintain a high standard of patient dignity and safety while providing hands-on care. Administrative Support Execute special projects as assigned by the DON or Nurse Managers. Assist with preparing for state surveys and internal audits. Attend morning clinical meetings to report on staffing levels and supply needs.
Qualifications & Requirements Certification:
Active State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in good standing.
Experience:
At least 2 years of experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF). Prior experience in scheduling or medical records is highly preferred.
Software Proficiency:
• Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) is strongly preferred. If not experienced in PCC, the candidate must demonstrate high proficiency in learning new clinical software and digital scheduling tools quickly.
Skills:
Great communication, A calm demeanor when handling last minute call-outs.
Physical:
Must be able to perform the physical requirements of a CNA (lifting, pivoting, and standing for long periods).
