Certified Nursing Assistant

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to participants in an adult day care facility. This role is crucial in ensuring the comfort and well-being of participants while assisting with daily activities and medical care. Duties Assist participants with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding. Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse. Provide basic patient care under the supervision of nursing staff. Assist with mobility and physical activities, including the use of Hoyer lifts when necessary. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients. Document patient care activities accurately in electronic medical records (EMR) systems. Communicate effectively with participants, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient needs and progress. Participate in ongoing annual training programs to enhance skills. Skills The following skills are essential or beneficial for this position: Long-term care experience in nursing homes or assisted living facilities is helpful. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and HIPAA regulations. Proficiency in patient service and caregiving techniques for seniors and individuals with developmental disabilities. Familiarity with behavioral health support. Ability to do vital signs accurately. Ability to accurately document patient activity.
