In this vital role, you will provide essential direct patient care, support clinical staff, and ensure the comfort and safety of our diverse patient population. Duties Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices Take and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature, ensuring proper documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems Support medication administration under supervision, following strict aseptic techniques and HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or memory impairments, including memory care activities and behavioral health support Assist with clinical procedures such as catheter care, phlebotomy (blood draws), and wound care in various settings including hospitals with Level I Trauma Centers or Level II Trauma Centers Support emergency response efforts in urgent or critical situations by applying basic life support (BLS) skills and assisting with patient stabilization Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in environments like intensive care units (ICU), pediatric units (PICU), or post-acute care facilities to deliver comprehensive patient-centered care Requirements Valid CNA certification in good standing with relevant state licensing requirements Experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals (including ICU and emergency medicine), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home & community care settings Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and infection control practices including aseptic technique Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation Experience caring for individuals with disabilities or behavioral health needs; experience with dementia or Alzheimer's care is highly valued Ability to work effectively in fast-paced settings like trauma centers or urgent care clinics while maintaining attention to detail and compassion Strong communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with healthcare teams and communicate effectively with patients of all ages including pediatrics and geriatrics Join us to be part of a vibrant team committed to delivering exceptional patient service through compassionate caregiving.
