Job Description

Job Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the Anderson Area, where your compassionate care and attention to detail will make a meaningful difference in patients' lives. In this vital role, you will provide essential support to nursing staff by assisting with patient care, ensuring comfort, safety, and dignity for individuals across various healthcare settings. Whether working in long-term care facilities, hospitals, or community-based environments, you will be at the forefront of delivering high-quality, person-centered care that promotes health and well-being. Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts. Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature. Support medication administration under supervision and ensure proper documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner. Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or memory impairments through compassionate engagement and behavioral management techniques. Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures such as catheter care and wound management to prevent infection. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in acute care, ICU, emergency medicine, or behavioral health settings to deliver comprehensive patient care. Assist with medical procedures including phlebotomy and basic life support (BLS), ensuring adherence to safety protocols and HIPAA regulations. Support patients across various environments including inpatient units, outpatient clinics, home care visits, or assisted living facilities. Document all patient interactions thoroughly within EMR/EHR systems like eClinicalWorks or Meditech to ensure accurate medical records. Engage with patients of all ages—including pediatrics and geriatrics—delivering respectful and attentive service that enhances their comfort and recovery. Skills Proven experience working in diverse healthcare settings such as hospitals (including Level I Trauma Centers), nursing homes, assisted living communities, or home health environments. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and infection control practices. Skilled in using EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation. Experience with specialized care areas including Alzheimer's/dementia/memory care and behavioral health support. Ability to perform phlebotomy procedures and assist with medication administration safely. Familiarity with medical-surgical procedures, ICU protocols, urgent care practices, and post-acute/sub-acute care environments. Competence in patient service skills including vital signs monitoring and use of assistive devices like Hoyer lifts. Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards to protect patient privacy at all times. Excellent caregiving skills combined with a compassionate approach tailored to individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges. Ability to work effectively within fast-paced settings such as emergency departments or pediatric clinics while maintaining attention to detail. Pay:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
