Columbia, SC Job Details Part-time $16.50 - $18.00 an hour 9 hours ago Benefits 401(k) matching Qualifications Working with individuals with dementia Patients with cognitive disabilities Meal preparation Food preparation CNA Bathing assistance Meal assistance Working with individuals with neurological conditions Full Job Description Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated CNA who will work with one family. The client is an elderly female who suffers from Dementia. She lives with her family. She loves gospel music from the 60s and loves to dance in her chair. Her nieces and nephew care for her. She loves her family. The days are Monday through Friday plus alternating
Saturdays or Sundays:
Approximately 4 hours a day from 1-5pm Monday to Friday. Alternating Saturdays 4 hours or Alternating Sundays 1 hour just long enough so her sister can go to church. Responsibilities Provide personal care services such as stand by assisting as she is in a wheelchair Encourage client to eat and take medications Monitor skin condition Assist with nutritional meal prep Help bathing Maintain a clean and safe environment following hygiene and safety protocols. Provide companionship to enhance emotional well-being Experience Previous experience in home care is required . Experience with Alzheimer and Dementia is required . Compassionate nature with strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with the family. The candidate will be professional and respectful while in the home. CNA required.
