In this vital role, you will provide personalized, high-quality care to patients at the end of life, ensuring comfort, dignity, and emotional support. Your expertise will help create a peaceful environment for patients and their families during this sensitive time. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those receiving hospice services while working within a supportive and dynamic healthcare setting. Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families, respecting their cultural and individual preferences. Adhere to HIPAA regulations. Maintain a safe environment by following aseptic techniques, infection control protocols, and proper handling of medical supplies such as catheters and DME (durable medical equipment). Assist with specialized care procedures including Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs. Skills Proven experience in hospice or palliative care settings with knowledge of end-of-life comfort measures. Strong understanding of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and basic life support techniques. Knowledge of geriatrics, memory care strategies, and working with individuals with disabilities or behavioral health conditions. Excellent caregiving skills combined with compassionate communication tailored to patients' emotional needs during hospice care.
