As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients in various settings, including Level I Trauma Centers and outpatient facilities. You will assist with daily living activities, support medical staff, and ensure that patients receive the best possible care. Your responsibilities will include medication administration, medical documentation, and maintaining a safe environment for all patients. Responsibilities Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff. Administer medications as prescribed and ensure accurate documentation in Cerner or other medical systems. Provide support in home community care settings, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient areas, adhering to infection control protocols. Document patient care activities accurately, including any changes in condition or behavior. Assist with lifting and transferring patients safely using appropriate techniques and equipment. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. Experience Previous experience as a Nursing Assistant or in a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation practices is essential. Experience working in home care or community-based settings is a plus. Knowledge of medication administration protocols is advantageous. Ability to operate various healthcare systems, including electronic health records (EHR) like Cerner. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
