Job Description

Certified Nursing Assistant
  • Azle, TX Azle, TX 76020 Up to $25 an hour
  • PRN, Per diem Up to $25 an hour
  • PRN, Per diem Caritas Hospice is seeking experienced Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) with hospice experience to join our compassionate team of dedicated healthcare professionals.

Hospice Aide Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care assistance in the patient's residence under the direction and supervision of the RN and according to the Plan of Care Effectively communicate with the Interdisciplinary Team to ensure patients and their families receive the alleviating care, comfort and compassion they deserve Perform or assist patient/family with home safety and activities including, but not limited to, light housekeeping and assistance with meals Appropriately document and monitor adequate nutrition intake, temperature, pulse, respiration, skin and basic elements of body functioning and changes Provide compassionate communication and emotional support to the patient, family and other employees Assure for compliance with local, state and federal laws, Medicare regulations and organizational policies and procedures Complete annual educational requirements CNA /
Hospice Aide Required Experience:
Current and valid certification as a Nursing Assistant or completion of an approved nursing assistant program Previous CNA / Hospice Aide experience 1+ years preferred Texas Driver's License with an automobile that is insured under Texas and/or organization requirements Documentation of successfully passing a skills test and written/oral exam demonstrating competencies Ability to provide care in various settings, such as homes, hospitals, or nursing homes.
