In this vital role, you will provide direct patient care, assist with daily activities, and support clinical staff to ensure a safe, comfortable, and healing environment. Your energy and enthusiasm will help foster positive experiences for patients of all ages and needs, from acute medical stays to long-term community care. Responsibilities Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care by assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary. Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates, ensuring proper documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems. Support clinical teams by preparing patients for procedures, assisting with medical documentation, and maintaining aseptic techniques to prevent infection. Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care strategies and behavioral health support. Assist in medication administration under supervision, ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations and safety protocols. Engage in ongoing training related to EMR systems, infection control practices, and emergency response procedures like Basic Life Support (BLS). Qualifications Valid CNA certification from an accredited program with current licensure in the state of employment. Demonstrated experience working in long-term care facilities, or assisted living communities (Preferred). Familiarity with medical terminology, vital signs measurement, catheter care, and basic patient service skills. Experience with EMR/EHR systems is highly desirable. Knowledge of infection control practices including aseptic technique and working with infectious disease patients. Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments while maintaining attention to detail. Compassionate caregiver with excellent communication skills and the ability to work with individuals with disabilities or behavioral health needs.
