Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals across various settings, including long-term care facilities, hospitals, assisted living communities, and home care environments. Duties Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and comfort Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to HIPAA regulations Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care techniques and behavioral health support Operate patient lifts such as Hoyer lifts safely to prevent injury and ensure patient safety during transfers Assist with medical procedures like catheter care, phlebotomy preparation, and basic aseptic techniques in clinical settings such as outpatient clinics or hospital units Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced environments like ICU, emergency medicine, or Level I trauma centers to ensure seamless patient care Requirements Valid CNA certification from an accredited program is required; active license preferred Prior experience working in critical care settings such as ICU, emergency medicine, or trauma centers is highly desirable Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and infection control protocols including aseptic technique Experience with EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation Ability to work with diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with disabilities or developmental disorders, and those requiring hospice or behavioral health support Strong communication skills coupled with a compassionate approach to patient service and caregiving Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform lifting tasks safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices Join us in delivering exceptional patient care through your dedication and expertise!
