Full Job Description Position Summary:

Assists professional nursing staff by performing specific resident care tasks, within the scope of practice from Certified Nursing Assistant.

Qualifications:

A.

Education:

High school graduate or equivalent. B.

Training and Experience:

1. Listed with Texas Department of Nurse Aid Registry (or acquire within 1 year of hire or transfer from another department). 2. Current BLS certification required through American Heart Association within 90 days of hire. 3. Successful completion of hospital orientation within 3 months of hire. 4. Complete the following competencies within 3 months of hire or transfer from another department. Patient transfers Patient transport Aseptic technique Lab specimens / order entry Unit safety Body substance isolation Role in Code Blue Supply processing and ordering Stocking of PACU Assist with patient admission to PACU VI.
