Job Description
The Mission of The Village at Incarnate Word is to extend the healing ministry of Jesus Christ to all those we serve. Essential Job Functions Help residents with mobility restrictions to get out of bed, dress, and groom Stand by assists with bathing. Assisted Living B makes beds when residents are not in their bed. Distributes linens. As needed, helps transport residents to activities, meals, beauty shop, etc. Answers call bells to determine what assistance is needed. Take vital signs Assisted Living A, wash clothes Demonstrate commitment and passion for the organization's mission Perform all responsibilities observing resident's rights. Receive and give reports on residents' condition. Assist residents with nutritional needs including serving, feeding and providing proper fluid requirements as directed by the Charge Nurse. Demonstrate knowledge of infection control to prevent spread of disease and infection. Adhere to strict infection control guidelines including handwashing and universal precautions Demonstrate knowledge of emergency policies and procedures. Perform all responsibilities in a safe and efficient manner. Follow established guidelines when using protective devices and equipment. Demonstrate awareness of potential hazards and is proactive in maintaining a safe environment for residents and staff. All duties as assigned The Village at Incarnate Word provides VIA bus passes. The Village at Incarnate Word offers full-time employees, and their dependents, a 33% tuition discount for undergraduate courses and master's level courses at the University of the Incarnate Word's Broadway campus and the School of Professional Studies.
