Header Overview Join our compassionate team as a Caregiver/CNA, where your dedication and skills will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring personalized care. This dynamic role offers the opportunity to work both daytime hours from 7am to 6pm and overnight shifts from 7pm to 7am, providing flexible scheduling options to fit your lifestyle. As a vital member of our caregiving community, you will deliver exceptional support, promote independence, and enhance quality of life for residents across various care settings. Duties Provide direct patient care, assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes promptly to healthcare teams. Administer medications following prescribed care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations and safety protocols. Support residents with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring nutritional needs are met in a safe and respectful manner. Utilize specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts and resident lifts to assist with heavy lifting and mobility transfers safely. Maintain cleanliness of residents' living areas through routine cleaning and sanitation practices to promote a healthy environment. Document all care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare standards and assist in developing individualized care plans. Engage with residents experiencing dementia or Alzheimer's disease through memory care techniques and compassionate interaction. Support residents' emotional well-being by providing companionship, engaging in social activities, and respecting their dignity. Follow all safety procedures during patient observation, emergency responses, CPR certification requirements, and first aid protocols. Qualifications Valid CNA certification or relevant caregiving experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home health settings. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or dementia is highly desirable. Knowledge of medication administration, vital signs monitoring, HIPAA compliance, and patient observation techniques. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts; physical stamina for long shifts is essential. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams and provide clear documentation. Prior experience in group homes or hospice care is a plus; familiarity with social work principles is beneficial. Flexibility to work both 7am-6pm daytime shifts and overnight shifts from 7pm-7am; reliability in adhering to scheduled hours is critical.
