Providing for more than just the physical needs of our patients… Part Time 15 hours per week Teague Nursing and Rehabilitation in partnership with Century Rehabilitation, is seeking a personable Restorative Nurse Aide to provide restorative nursing services. Can provide nursing delegated tasks that are taught and supervised by the facility Nurse or Therapy, as long as they are included in the patient-specific Restorative Nursing Program. Responsibilities:
Provides restorative programs 6 days a week. Participates in restorative dining program, directs regular CNAs about resident restorative dining programs, when applicable. Serves as a resource and role model for CNAs. Documents program completion every day and narrative progress notes as required. Attends restorative meeting and care plan conferences. Reports unusual problems regarding resident care to nursing staff immediately: pain, refusals, falls, etc. Reports malfunctioning or improperly fitting equipment and equipment needs to therapy and restorative nurse. Offers suggestions and provides input into development of interdisciplinary plan of care. Assists with general orientation and on-going restorative nursing in-services. Participates in the facility Quality Improvement Program as directed by the Restorative Nurse, and reports areas needing improvement. Keeps skills current and enhances present skills by attendance to in-services and seminars. Completes other Nurse aide duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
CNA certification required Knowledge and skills in basic restorative nursing principles and practices Experience as an RCNA is desirable. Long Term Care experience preferred. Evidence of ability to work as a member of the team. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Understands and embraces the facility restorative philosophy. Documentation skills. Demonstrates accountability and responsibility. Demonstrates good body mechanics.
