This dynamic role combines direct patient care with medical technology responsibilities, providing an engaging environment for those passionate about geriatrics, long-term care, acute care, and specialized health services. You'll be an essential part of a collaborative team committed to delivering exceptional patient-centered care in a variety of settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals, and outpatient clinics. Duties Provide direct patient care by assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts. Monitor vital signs and observe patient conditions to ensure safety and well-being. Administer medications and treatments following physician orders while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards. Support clinical procedures including catheter care, phlebotomy, aseptic techniques, and wound care in compliance with infection control protocols. Operate electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks to accurately document patient information and medical records. Assist in specialized care areas such as dementia/memory care, Alzheimer's care, behavioral health, or pediatric settings with patience and professionalism. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in acute care environments like ICU, Level I Trauma Centers, or emergency medicine units to deliver timely and effective patient service. Utilize medical terminology knowledge to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and educate patients or families about health conditions. Support post-acute and home & community care initiatives by providing compassionate caregiving tailored to individual needs. Qualifications Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or MedTech with current licensure where applicable. Experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals (including ICU or trauma centers), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or outpatient clinics. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for medical documentation. Demonstrated skills in medication administration, vital signs measurement, catheter care, phlebotomy, and aseptic techniques. Knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to senior care, pediatrics, behavioral health or infectious disease management. Critical care experience including ICU or Level II trauma center exposure is highly desirable. Ability to work with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges with patience and empathy. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical records management standards.
