Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team providing care in Davis County. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care, demonstrating excellent communication skills and a genuine desire to support individuals across various care settings. This role offers an opportunity to work in diverse environments, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, and home care settings. The CNA will play a vital role in providing high-quality, respectful, and personalized care to enhance patients' well-being and comfort. Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using appropriate techniques and equipment. Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates, accurately documenting findings in electronic health records (EHR) systems. Support medical staff by preparing patients for examinations or procedures, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, implementing memory care strategies to promote safety and comfort. Assist with medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to HIPAA regulations. Operate patient lifts such as Hoyer lifts safely to prevent injury during transfers and mobility assistance. Engage with patients requiring complex care such as ICU or trauma center support, demonstrating knowledge of physiology and emergency procedures. Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams in acute care, post-acute settings, or outpatient clinics to deliver comprehensive patient service. Support patients with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs by fostering a respectful and supportive environment. Maintain cleanliness of patient areas and ensure compliance with infection prevention standards using proper aseptic techniques. Qualifications Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) from an accredited program; current state licensure required. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (BLS) certification is essential. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with vulnerable populations such as seniors, or individuals with disabilities. Strong interpersonal skills combined with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while maintaining professionalism at all times.
