Job Description

Job Summary Join our compassionate healthcare team as a PCA (Personal Care Assistant), CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant), or HHA (Home Health Aide), where your dedication will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals needing support with daily activities and medical care. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide personalized, respectful, and professional care in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private homes. You will play a vital part in promoting independence, dignity, and well-being for those you serve while working within a supportive and dynamic environment. All positions are paid, recognizing the value of your essential contributions to patient care. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary. Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, reporting changes, and maintaining accurate medical documentation within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Support medication administration following proper protocols and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy. Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care techniques and behavioral management strategies. Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care, hospice support, and managing patients with disabilities or developmental challenges. Prepare nutritious meals, assist with feeding when needed, and maintain cleanliness by performing light housekeeping tasks such as laundry and general cleaning to ensure a safe environment. Document all patient interactions thoroughly in medical records and EMR systems to ensure continuity of care and compliance with healthcare standards. Requirements Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, patient observation techniques, and caregiving best practices. Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) is required; additional certifications such as medication administration or hospice care are a plus. Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or chronic conditions such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease. Experience operating EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems and maintaining HIPAA compliance for patient confidentiality. Excellent communication skills coupled with a compassionate approach to patient care. Flexibility to work various shifts including live-in employment options is desirable.
