Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Assistant/Licensed Practical Nurse, where your energy and dedication will directly enhance patient experiences and streamline clinical operations. This vital role combines front-office responsibilities with clinical support, ensuring smooth patient flow and exceptional care delivery. You will be the first point of contact for patients, providing welcoming service while assisting healthcare providers with essential clinical tasks. This position offers a unique opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced medical environment, making a meaningful difference in patient outcomes and clinic efficiency. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and facilitate smooth check-in and check-out processes. Collect patient histories, update medical records, and assist with appointment scheduling using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiratory rate to support accurate clinical assessments. Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures, including basic medication administration when appropriate. Prepare exam rooms by sterilizing equipment, arranging supplies, and ensuring readiness for outpatient visits. Manage administrative tasks such as ICD coding for diagnoses, processing prior authorizations, and handling patient intake forms efficiently. Support clinical staff with tasks like orders, EKGs, procedural support, and medical record documentation. Support practice processes such as restocking and inventory, patient education and outreach, workflow optimization. Skills Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, to accurately support clinical documentation. Experience working in hospital medicine, urgent care, or outpatient clinics. Proficiency in EHR systems for documentation, scheduling, and billing purposes. Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient populations including geriatrics. Ability to perform vital signs collection accurately and efficiently while maintaining patient comfort. Basic life support (BLS) certification is preferred to ensure readiness for emergency situations. $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
