As a CNA, you will play a vital role in assisting with daily activities, ensuring comfort, and maintaining high standards of safety and hygiene. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your caregiving skills directly impact patient outcomes and quality of life. Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Monitor and record vital signs accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner. Support patients with medication administration under supervision, adhering to HIPAA regulations and aseptic techniques. Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other memory impairments, including memory care techniques. Operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts and assist with transfers to ensure patient safety and comfort. Document patient observations thoroughly in medical records, maintaining compliance with healthcare standards. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in acute care, long-term care, hospice, or behavioral health settings to deliver comprehensive patient-centered care. Maintain infection control protocols and ensure a sterile environment during procedures like catheter care or phlebotomy when applicable. Requirements Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with current licensure in . Prior experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals (including ICU, Level I Trauma Center), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or outpatient clinics. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and clinical procedures relevant to senior care and acute medical conditions. Experience caring for individuals with disabilities or behavioral health needs; familiarity with dementia and Alzheimer's care is highly desirable. Ability to perform basic life support (BLS) and adhere to infection prevention standards. Strong communication skills coupled with compassionate caregiving abilities tailored for working with vulnerable populations including pediatrics and geriatrics. Physical stamina to assist with patient mobility tasks such as transfers using Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices.
