Job Description

Job Overview Join our compassionate healthcare team as a Caregiver/CNA, where your dedication and skills will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring personalized care. This vital role involves providing hands-on assistance, ensuring patient comfort, and supporting health and safety in various settings such as long-term care facilities, hospitals, assisted living communities, and home care environments. Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices. Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature; accurately document findings in electronic health record (EHR) systems. Support medication administration under supervision or as permitted by certification, ensuring proper handling and storage according to HIPAA regulations. Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other memory-related conditions through tailored engagement and safety protocols. Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures such as catheter care or wound management to prevent infection. Collaborate with medical teams in acute care settings including ICU, emergency medicine, or surgical units to deliver consistent patient care. Assist with medical documentation and ensure compliance with healthcare standards such as HIPAA and OSHA guidelines. Support patients with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs by implementing personalized care plans that promote independence and well-being. Requirements Valid CNA certification or equivalent licensure; experience working in healthcare environments such as hospitals, nursing homes, or assisted living communities is highly preferred. Demonstrated experience with EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (BLS). Hands-on experience with medical-surgical procedures, medication administration, catheter care, and vital signs monitoring. Critical care experience including ICU or Level I Trauma Center exposure is a plus; familiarity with infectious disease care and hospice services is advantageous. Ability to work effectively in fast-paced settings such as urgent care or outpatient clinics while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and provide compassionate patient service.
